Competition Themes
        With the theme of "Chinese Perspective, World Vision, Human Dimension", the competition is mainly focused on the gathering of public service advertising scripts with the themes of environment protection, world peace, the Chinese dream, morality & etiquette, vulnerable groups, civilized tourism and scientific development.
Objects

        The competition is open to all domestic and foreign listeners and anyone who cares about public welfare.

Appraisal methods

        All entry works meeting the appropriate requirements will be appraised by the partner institutes and experts authorized by the competition organizing committee.

Awards

1st Prize: 5 winners - US$800 each

2nd Prize: 10 winners - US$300 each

3rd Prize: 30 winners - US$150 each

Award of Excellence: 105 winners - US$50 each

Submission method

        Download the application form from CRI Online's participating Chinese or non-Chinese language websites (including http://gb.cri.cn). Then email the work to be entered as an attachment to psa@cri.com.cn. Other forms of submission will not be accepted.

Overview

        The 2015 CRI Global Public Service Advertising Creation Competition (First Session) is hosted by China Radio International, and guided by the China State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. The competition is also partnered with several renowned Chinese institutes.

        China Radio International is China's only state-level public radio and television media organization specializing in international communications. It broadcasts to the world in 65 languages. CRI aims to introduce China to the rest of the world, introduce the world to China, report global affairs to the world, and promote understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and the citizens of other countries. The CRI Global Public Service Advertising Creation Competition is aimed at combining CRI's unique advantages of multi-language and multi-media resources with public service advertising (PSA). By collecting PSA ideas from all over the world, the competition is intended to promote communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign public service advertising outlets.

Requirements

        1. Works entered must stick to the themes and reflect positive content and proper values.

        2. The number of copies submitted is unlimited. The main form is the script. The word count requirement is 70 – 100 words or 140 – 180 words (the word count for a 30 second and 1 minute advertisement respectively).

        3. Domestic entries have to be submitted in Chinese. Foreign entry work can be in Chinese or English.

        4. Including information which is unrelated to the main creative idea, such as the participants' personal information is prohibited. The work submitted must not be sent to any other competition.

        5. The participants must provide real and accurate personal information and contact information as requested on the application form. If the information is false or incomplete, the organizing committee has the right to disqualify the participant.

About the copyright

        1. The entry work must be original. Plagiarism is forbidden. If you are going to use material from others, you should obtain permission from the copyright holder and act in accordance with that person/organization's wishes. If any legal disputes occur, the participant has to accept all the consequences. The organizing committee has the right to disqualify the participant.

        2. The copyright of any work entered is retained by the participant. After accepting the application, the organizer has the right to use the entered work free of charge. The organizer has the right to re-create the work and use the work for public service purposes free of charge or payments of any kind to the creator of the work (including but not limited to the modification, coping, exhibition or internet communication of the entered work.)

Declaration from the organizing committee

        1. The competition organizing committee is based at China Radio International.

        2. The participants can obtain information about the competition, including an application form, from the 2015 CRI Global Public Service Advertising Creation Competition (First Session) section of CRI Online's Chinese and non-Chinese language websites.

        3. Participants must provide their real names and complete the application form fully. Participants must accept the consequences of submitting incomplete or false information on the application form.

        4. No fee is chargeable for participating in the competition and any works submitted will not be returned. 

        5. All works entered will be collected into CRI's public service advertisement pool and used for the communication of public service advertisements by China Radio International.

        6. Final interpretation of any matter relating to the competition will be made by the competition organizing committee.
